Senator Corman Re-elected as Senate Majority Appropriations Chairman

HARRISBURG- Senate Republicans on Wednesday elected their leadership team for the 2013-14 legislative session, including re-electing Sen. Jake Corman, R-Bellefonte, as the Majority Appropriations Chairman.Senator Corman

The Appropriations Committee reviews all legislation for its fiscal impact on the Commonwealth and plays a crucial role in developing the state budget.

"I am honored that my colleagues have once again elected me to serve as the Majority Appropriations Chairman," Corman said. "We face challenging economic times in the future. I remain committed to holding the line on spending and seeking long-term solutions to the fiscal issues impacting the Commonwealth."

Each legislative session last two years, with all leadership members up for election at that time.
